These terms govern the use of PaceVelo at pacevelo.com and apply to the currently offered free version. Prices, scope and contractual terms for any future paid service will be presented separately before an order is placed.
2. Features and calculated results
PaceVelo provides a performance calculator, personal rider profiles and bicycle settings. Calculations cover power, speed, steady rides and gradients, and comparisons between power levels.
Results are model estimates based on your inputs and the stated assumptions. Actual results may differ because of the route, weather, surface, equipment, riding behaviour and physical condition. Simplified ride estimates do not represent a complete real-world route.
PaceVelo does not provide medical advice or certify fitness to ride or a safe riding speed. Always observe traffic rules, local conditions and your own abilities.
3. Accounts and use
Personal features require an account with a verified email address. By registering and accepting these terms, you request a free account; activation makes the personal area available.
Use your own accessible email address, keep your credentials confidential and report suspected account misuse. You are responsible for the information you enter. Minors may use an account only with any required consent of their legal representative.
Unauthorised access to other accounts, bypassing access restrictions, malware, unlawful content and abusive overloading of the service are prohibited. Ordinary use and constructive error reports remain welcome.
4. Your content and profile image
Upload only content you are entitled to use. Images of other people require the necessary rights and, where applicable, their consent. You retain your rights in your own content. You permit us to store, technically process and display it as necessary to provide the features you use. This does not authorise advertising use of your profile image.
5. Availability and changes
We aim to operate a reliable service. Maintenance, faults and development may limit availability. Where possible, we will give advance notice of material restrictions or a planned closure of the account service.
Free use will not become a paid subscription without your explicit order. We will communicate material changes to these terms and obtain renewed agreement where required. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
6. Closing or suspending an account
You may stop using the service at any time and request account closure at info@pacevelo.com. Any remaining personal data is handled as described in the privacy notice.
Specific security risks or serious breaches may justify proportionate restrictions or suspension. Where circumstances permit, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue. Statutory claims remain unaffected.
7. Liability
Statutory liability rules apply. The explanations of model limitations describe the scope of the service and are not a blanket exclusion of liability. These terms do not restrict mandatory liability or statutory consumer rights.
8. Privacy and contact
Our privacy notice explains how we process personal data. Acknowledging that notice is not blanket consent to advertising or additional processing. Please send questions about the service to info@pacevelo.com.
